A democratic socio-political organization committed to advancing the constitutional,
political, cultural, and developmental aspirations of the Mising people through
democratic engagement, constitutional processes, and peaceful political action.
Who We Are
The Liberal Democratic Council of Misingland (LDCM) is a democratic socio-political
organization established to provide a representative platform for articulating
the collective interests of the Mising community. Guided by constitutional values,
justice, equality, participatory governance, and social inclusion, LDCM works to
strengthen democratic institutions while safeguarding the linguistic, cultural,
and historical heritage of the Mising people.
LDCM believes that indigenous communities possess distinct historical identities,
cultural traditions, customary institutions, and collective rights that deserve
recognition and protection within the framework of constitutional democracy.
Our Democratic Commitment
A central objective of LDCM is the democratic pursuit of Misingland as a
constitutionally recognized territorial and administrative framework that
institutionalizes democratic self-governance, safeguards indigenous rights,
strengthens political representation, and promotes inclusive and sustainable
development.
The organization pursues this objective through constitutional processes,
democratic engagement, policy advocacy, research, public dialogue, and peaceful
democratic action.

LDCM believes that the realization of the aspirations of the Mising people depends
